Description

This is one of my models/ figures. For those of you unfamiliar, These are Bionicles. They are a type of Lego. Now when you think of legos, you probably think of the little bricks with the studs on top that fit together. Bionicle is taking that concept and stepping it up a level. There are a lot of complex parts that go together to either look cool, or serves a function. Then I take that level up to a whole new level. So models/figures like this guy are a few levels above stacking colorful bricks on each other. There's a lot of mechanical thinking that goes into these things.

Now on to the figure. This particular character's name is Ryakk. Just to give you an Idea of how big this guy is He measures up to Two feet even. 2" Most bionicle figures are about 11 inches or smaller, and don't have thousand of pieces. Ryakk is very articulate. His legs and arms move, He has opposable fingers and thumbs. His hips, knees, ankles, shoulders, elbow, wrist, fingers, and neck all move. Ideally he would be completely posable, but gravity kinda puts a damper on that. This piece is very unique even in the realm of bionicle models go. I have put a lot of hard work into this model and I still have more work to do.

This particular picture is a wide view shot to show the whole figure. There other shots closer up or at a different angle

very well done. you know what would have been cool? if while Bionicle was still in bisnuess, they would crank out sets like these like they did with Starwars, really Greg farshley left alot of ideas still on the table, what happened? did they run out of funds?
