Description

:iconexciteddummyplz: MY FIRST EVER REVAMP!!!
This MOC is actually a few firsts for me, first revamo, first all black MOC, and first MOC using...DUN DUN DUUUUUUUUUUNNNNnn....the dreaded inika build! :iconterrifiedplz: Here's actual physical proof that an Inika build can work in certain circumstances. I kinda find it somewhat ironic that I basically used the final "build" lego would do to create one of the first builds in bionicle. There are quite literally only four pieces that aren't black, and that's the four trans-dark-green studs I used to make his eyes. Every other single piece is black.

I'll let you all in on a little secret...I ended up building onua mata by accident. Its true. I was working on what I was calling "Blaqk Moqk" when I realized that if I hunched him over, I could get Onua Mata. SO I DID!:la: I then worked on making it look more like onua, added the gears in the back, added the mata hand/claws to his chest with the tubbing, then gave him his signature claws, and PRESTO, Onua Mata Revamp was born! I think that's the coolest thing about this, is that it was all by accident. HA I'm so cool I don't even have to try to make a toa revamp, it just happens. :XD:

Vision: While the vision of this model is not fueled by the MOC itself, it is absolutely worth five stars. This is because the vision of Bionicle is worth more than six stars and this MOC represents that Idea.

Originality: I rated this four stars because the design is almost perfectly original, save the character himself. Frankly, dinging off one star is not at all an insult to the creator, it is rather giving credit to the designers of 2000-2010.

Technique: The use of the pipes and the large gears on the back only add to my impression of the model. The gears really did feed my old-fan side, while the pipes helped to add the feeling of strength in the revamp. The only two things that are a little off (in my humble opinion) are the hands. The hands had been Onua's only tools and had amazing strength to them. Where as these are smaller hands don't seem to communicate the same rebooted feel as the rest of the model does. If anything, these claws should be big three pronged steam shovels or anything else like that.

Impact: On me, this MOC has six stars, if I could give them.
When I saw this creation it made me see the same sense of strength that the old model processed, only amplified!
For this reason, I give it as many stars as I can give in this area.
