About The MOC
Octavian marks the third video game character I've MOCed out of lego, the first being the Minecraft Skeleton,
and Bioshock's Big Daddy. 
The reason I built Octavian from the Animal crossing series of games is because my Girlfriend OddVibe absolutely adores him! She loves this little guy for some reason, so for her birthday this year(2014) I wanted to give her something special, but in making a MOC I didn't want to pick one of her OC's and end up having to build and send her a big complex MOC for her to have to figure out how to put back together, so I opted for something simpler and cuter. 
While I don't think this is the best possible version of Octavian that could be done, I needed to keep him as simple as possible given the contest and reasoning behind building him. I had planned to have the bandaids on the back of his head and his mouth decalled to, but there was so much hassle getting the star done, I decided to not even mention the other decals I needed done. He has his yellow star, and that's the important part, and Sharlene likes him so that's all that matters to me.
I would also like to give credit where credit is due, Octavian's head is a modified Lowell Sphere.

Adorable, simple, small and brillant! The kind of MOCs I love the most. I always thought the Lowell Sphere was a complex design used for big System MOCs, and with this little fella I realized how wrong I was (in every sense, since it's the first time I see the instructions and it's a quite easy build... if you have enough parts xD). Eyebraws aside, my favourite part of the build is the shoulder joint. Didn't expect that design to be that poseable! <3
